Hi all,
I apologise if this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find anything to answer it.
I'm playing in Beginner World #1 and based out of Tokyo Haneda airport. I have a pretty reasonable network going and looking to expand beyond the Japanese borders. However, I'm noticing a trend - anything that is considered "Intl Long Haul" in the route planner has zero PAX demand. Dubai, New Delhi, Sydney, New York, etc, all of them show 0 PAX demand. There's cargo demand but not PAX demand, which confuses me.
Do I need to do world-wide marketing to get people to realize I exist in order to generate PAX? Do I set up a route without paying for slots and do route marketing?
I'm loathe to expense a very expensive plane to fly back and forth empty to test the theory.
Thoughts would be most appreciated.
Haneda is a primarily domestic airport. Look for Narita for the international routes.
Well, it was until a few years ago anyway. I was wondering actually, is the way that intl. demand is now shifting back to HND ever going to be modelled? I imagine the game mechanics can't really cater for that.
Thanks for clarifying Sami.
I was seriously confused for quite some time over that, but as soon as I change the departure airport to Narita, the intl routes work.
Guess I need to save up big $$$ to afford a v. large base there.
Appreciate the help!
