Preset conditions which trigger price increase/decrease in selected routes
Actions are determined and automatically performed at beginning of each week
EG:
Preset: If load factor is hight than 95%,
Action:Increase the price by 3% on selected routes.
Preset: If load factor is less than50%,
Action:Decrease the price by 5% on selected routes.
As suggested, that would take some of the skill out of the game. Maybe there could be a simpler way to reduce workload/tedium, like an option to set time-couple fare adjustment curves in order to compensate for inflation.
Might as well just use the real system then where ticket prices becomes more expensive for every ticket sold for the flight, that way you wouldn't even need this /if 95% or higher stuff 8)
If you want to adjust from time to time just for the inflation, you can go to Route --> Price Management, and incrase prices for all routes 1-5% which one click, instead of going one by one on the routes.
But dynamic prices would be preferable, but it would take a lot more skills to set a start and finish price, and set the inventory who many seats you want to sell in which price bucket.
Eventually, then someone will ask to add seasonality, as flights from Europe are packed in the Summer holidays, while LF could fall down to 30% in autumn. This is the reason most airlines in Europe go belly up in the Autumn months.
Since the chances of us getting a fully dynamic pricing system are pretty slim, how about allowing us to set relative price levels instead of the absolutes we set now. Would be great to just set standard prices +x% and forget about it instead of having to reset and re-raise every now and then.
