Title: Tools for creating liveries
Post by: paddy on May 31, 2022, 01:36:38 AM
Hello everyone, first time posting here, so apologies if I'm a bit of an idiot in regards to how to use the forum.

Does anyone have any recommendations for how to make liveries for airlines? I've attached my latest attempt, though I'm not very pleased with the quality of the template, and the aliasing on the layers is quite visible. I used the Jetabout (site now seems to be defunct, accessing through The Wayback Machine works though) template to do it, with GIMP for the editing and Figma for the extra graphics and logo stuff.

Thanks :)

From the liveries thread.

The top post has a link to a great video giving some basic advise using GIMP, a free software similar to Photoshop. There are also some places you can get easy to use Templates as well that come with different layers for different parts of the plane.

So many of these links seem to be dead, it's quite sad.

Thanks for this link though, I have been able to find the templates and get hold of them. :)

I've redone it with Med's template, and am much more pleased with it.

Meds are the best for sure.
