Several games are ending soon in AirwaySim, and we'd like to publish our upcoming game launch schedule for the late summer. We have many interesting choices, so take your pick or join all of them if you're a true airline manager pro!
Upcoming game worlds at AirwaySim- The Jet Age: 1959 to 1991, a medium-length game with standard settings, duration 8 months. Opens on Friday August 27th.
- The Speed World: 1995 to 2025, a fast-paced game with special rules (no geopolitical restrictions), duration 5 months. Opens on Friday September 10th.
- The Age of Flight: 1955 to 2035, one of our three main epic-length games, play duration 1.5 years. Opening in mid-/late September. [nb. starting year might change to 1950, based on your wishes - post them at the forums or our Discord (http://discord.gg/GrVGDsz)!]
- Beginner's World: 2015 to 2024, the easy scenario, starting once every month, duration 2 months. Starts usually during the first week of every month.

I would welcome a 1950 start. It would be a good challenge to establish an airline with the early propliners.
Id go for a 1950s start. Any new features you think can make it before the start of the GW Sami?

Game worlds used to start from 1950 with 5 years more to enjoy a stable growth with old props. I know people would say 1955 is more popular, but why not set one epic game world starts from 1950 and 1955 for the rest ?

Closest to ending is Modern Times with about 2 months left. Of the long games, nothing with less than 8 months left. Maybe a speed world or time frame world but otherwise I don't think any major games before 2022.
Would it be possible to get a speed world that has a simular timeline to modern times? Its always a shame to see the world end before china, india, and other developing nations really hit their stride.
As mentioned by Zombie, it's still a while before the next major game starts.
And for speed world, I'll take that idea into account, but I wouldn't want to have too much overlap on different scenarios though.
Does anyone know when the new beginner's world is due to open?

Guess I'll have some fun in beginners world while waiting for new one(speed one is just fine with me) ;D

Any word on new Modern Times World? Current one finishes in 1 month and 9 days - will it be replaced with new one around that date? thanks :)
I don't have the exact plan yet, but that is the probable schedule, yes.

What would be the total number of aircraft out of your home base in the new Modern Times?
There has been some talking about this in the past, that the current 400 would change. Any update on that?
I would guess it would be a fun and easy way to spice up that game world? And I have not heard any big objections. But it would be a test for that game only, and not a permanent thing.

The current maximum limit for all gameworlds that end in 2035 or so is 1000 out of base, but it scales up to that limit over time.

Or just after...
The current game will end on the 24th, so right about there. The details will be posted today or tomorrow.

Do you already know, when will you open new "epic length" game world? Then I know when to be prepared, don't really want to join game world that has already started. :)

The current 3 Epic GWs are on a rotation. If you look at History and the Future, it has 4 Months and 8 days left currently. The next HatF will likely start a couple of weeks after that. So I would guess late July is when the next Epic GW will start.
