Title: Prepayment for new aircraft not included in airline value
Post by: calmac on May 01, 2009, 03:29:16 PM
Hi Sami

First, thank you very much for this great game and its ongoing development! You do a great job!

One question: When I order new aircrafts (for buying, not leasing), I have to pay 40% of the aircraft value as a prepayment.

Why do I lose this money in my airline value? The money isn't gone as when I would lease the aircraft. It's a pre-payment of assets that's also shown in the balance sheet. In my opinion it should stay as airline value, although the aircraft isn't delivered.

Thanks for your answer and regards
calmac

That's how it's done, yea. As at the moment the system doesn't really track your investments which are in the future, you've just paid out a lump sum of cash and that declines the value... But the value of course goes back up the same amount when you get the planes.

Some parts of the economy system should and will be tuned later on.

It is considered a deposit in this case.  Since you can cancel the construction of these planes until the point where they are being built, you could still lose the movie.

its  assets so say u had 1 million euros n 1.5 million euros in assets ( your planes ) making a value of 2.5million, u spend 200,000 on a deposit the money isnt there and the aset isnt there yet so ur value will go down until they asset is recieved, fact ofreal life i'm afraid not j ust airway sim
