Title: A380F?
Post by: PhoenixAirways on May 22, 2020, 06:45:58 PM
With the possibility of a freighter conversion on the table for the Airbus A380, would it be too far of a stretch to potentially see a conversion of A380s into full fledged freighters?

I'd like to see it, but limited to the real world constraint that is the top deck can have light cargo only.  Given this constraint, a combi version with pax on top and cargo on bottom should also be on the table.  This would make it competitive with 787 on the pax side assuming you can fill the cargo holds.

thats not a freighter. except if you want to put a cargo-container or pallet through a passenger door. taking the seats out of a plane and putting some harnesses into a plane doesnt make it a freighter - and if, then please at least double the turnaround times for that plane!
