Title: Embrear 190 - Cargo only
Post by: wasgehtdichdasan on April 19, 2020, 11:59:16 AM
Hi,

I´m wondering if there is no Embrear 190 cargo only variant?
On the Page "Planes in game" is no variant listet - but maybe there is a conversion?

There is no freighter in that fleet group ingame, conversion or otherwise.

Medium freighters are anyway pretty hard to make money with.

There is a CRJ200 freighter variant.  There is no E jet freighter variants in real life which is why it's not in the game, but there is a company threatening to do an ERJ145 conversion (the E jet's little brother: http://www.macc.aero/)  However, I've read elsewhere that the ERJ's fuselage is too narrow for standard containers so it likely won't happen IRL.  There is an open feature request to add freighters that don't exist IRL to give players more options for cargo aircraft: https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,84518.0.html

I'm flying a large fleet of ERJ145s and CRJ200s in Speedy Recovery including a small fleet of CRJ200 freighters.  I'm flying with high load factors across the board and my most profitable 50 seater is pulling in $424k/week in gross profit and my most profitable CRJ200 freighter is pulling in $640k/week in gross profit, so cargo is/can be more profitable than pax largely due to less price sensitivity.  The only pain in the butt is you have to buy/own all the aircraft and do the conversions yourself (in most cases).
