Once upon a time, it cost money to rebase an aircraft--now it is free and instant. If you change a new aircraft order, you are limited as you can't change it within ~4 weeks of delivery and making any changes to other orders costs money ($70k each aircraft based on my recent change). I believe this is legacy code that needs to be updated since rebasing is free/instant and as such, the new aircraft deliveries should be editable for free/instant also.
I dunno, I think there be some penalty to keep CEOs sharp..
all we do now is wait for the delivery and then rebase it for free.
we can already rebase a plane in maintenance, could solve this one by just letting us rebase any plane that we can put a schedule on, so anything in maintenance as well as anything 3 or less weeks from delivery. Don't need to edit any orders then.
Right now it's just a matter of moving the schedule for a current aircraft to the soon to be delivered one and rebasing the current aircraft. The net effect is the same, but it's only possible if you have delivered aircraft.
