Title: Cover Aircraft??
Post by: JTAirbus on October 05, 2019, 11:01:19 AM
Hi,

Is there any functionality/future plans to allow an aircraft to be selected as a "back up" aircraft when another aircraft of its fleet is in a B/C/D check?

Hi James,

I will chip in and say no / don't know, respectively. I did ask much the same question a while ago:

It would be a nice enhancement, IMO. I just forgot to swap out a plane (that I had ordered a replacement for) and shelled out 400k USD for a D-check.. money I could ill afford to spend, because I'm just about going bust about every other week LOL.

Yeah, I also think a sort of wet lease mechanism to allow aircraft to be brought in to cover aircraft, my DC10 on my main route for profit went into C check and for a small airline I lost 97k a day in lost revenue!!
