Title: Confused About Airports/Slots
Post by: tungstennedge on June 14, 2019, 01:33:20 AM
In GW3 LHR was getting slot constrained, and then the infrastructure upgraded from 6 to seven I'm pretty sure no new slots were added, unless I missed something major. Still 142 takeoffs per hour. Did I miss something, or were there supposed to be new slots when theinfastructure expands?

Maybe I'm just confused or misunderstanding what infrastructure level does. Could someone explain? Thanks!

Infrastructure levels only increases slots in GW1 and all future games. It was no retroactive to GW2, GW3, or GW4. If I'm remembering correctly, all that happens in those game worlds is that the CBD circle expands and fees go up.

It was rolled out in all games. Some airports got a 50% slot increase overnight. Kind of destroyed careful planning for 30+ game years......

In the case of LHR, I think the multiplier in GW3 is 1.5, so the old formula gives LHR more slots than the new (142 vs 105). If it gets to level 10 by the end of the game you may see extra slots.
