Title: Aircraft Manuals AN-24, IL-18 IL-62, Tu-134 and more
Post by: MikeS on May 23, 2019, 03:29:03 AM
I found a real treasure on aircraft manuals of some popular soviet models:

http://www.interflug.biz/Flugzeuge.htm

It's full of old official INTERFLUG documentation (Aircraft Manuals). ...in German, though.
It could help upgrade aircraft performance data to V2

Cheers!
Mike

Hm, can you point where the manuals are actually there?  Couldn't find any (looked An-24 and Dash-8).

Edit: Nevermind, seems that only some have them and some don't.

Thanks for the link!

Seems that all of them got it. On each individual aircraft's page: Flugbetriebsdokumentation, in the upper red banner.

I can help to translate the necessary bits if needed. Native German and professional translator.  :)

Just wanted to check how close we are to any Soviet aircraft data updates.

I did some research on the IL-62 and it appears it needs a similar big downward correction as DC8/B707/990 :

In AWS:
IL-62 :     12.500 kg/hr
IL-62M :  11.910 kg/hr

According to original Interflug manual (PDF page 326):  --if I understood the example correctly--
http://www.interflug.biz/Flugzeuge/IL-62/Handbuecher/FZH_Il62.pdf

Example calculation ZFW: 85t, Take off weight: 130t, fuel after landing 4.5t so available for use: 40.5t of fuel
Result: (available flight time)
IL-62: 5 hours = 8100 kg/hr
IL-62M: 6:10 = 6570 kg/hr

I also found an entry in Global Security
https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/il-62.htm

"The average hourly fuel consumption of IL-62M was 6.8 tonnes, of IL-62 – 7.3 tonnes"

Hope it can be looked into, as well as for TU-154/134

Thanks
Mike
