When I've had to do a bit of re-organisation of flights, usually due to introducing new planes, I often end up with - (after trying very hard to re-use all my owned slots) - a number of slots usually overseas which I just can't re-use. Then I have to sit through days and weeks of messages warning me about unused slots.
Wouldn't it be so much easier and better for everyone, if there was a facility - say under: "ROUTES" - "Airport Slots" ... where I can view all "Unused Slots" and then release them. This not only cleans up my own life, but potentially quickly unblocks slots at other airports for other players. :P
What about the evil rest of us who can tolerate inbox spamming to sit on the slots and irritate some opponents? ;D
Another way to decrease the annoyance factor of getting notification every game day for slots - would be to have ability to turn off these notifications.
I pay attention to these notifications the first game year, and then, for the remaining 50+ game years, the notifications are just nuisance.
Edit: something similar to notifications for C/D checks. I keep them on first year or 2, and then, I just turn them off.
I hear you deovrat and JumboShrimp
JS has, i.m.o. the most basic absolute requirement here - at very least (if folk are happy to do as Deovrat says) we need to be able to shut off the totally annoying useless messages. There's not a damned thing we can do about unused slots all over the world - nothing!
b.t.w. - I only realised later after writing this - just recently there was another discussion roughly pointing out the same thing, so sorry if it appears I'm duplicating the messages... but it does show this is something needs a solution for lots and lots of people please ;) :D
You mean you read the messages?

Interesting. I just consider them to be tl;dr things...

The most important thing IMHO is who bought my planes and for how much. Airport changes like Fornebu-Gardermoen are important, too. When doing more than casual brokering, it's mandatory. Numers are manageable if you turn off "settings - aircraft settings" "Send message of successful lease extension" and "Send message of successful automatic maintenance"
