Can anyone tell me what the current thinking is re: stansted airport
I have found some old threads that suggests it doesn't appear until 1991, which is kind of nuts as the original terminal opened in 1966.
It was actually offering scheduled services as early as 1959.
True the current Terminal opened in 1991 but the airport was busy before that.
in GW2, it opened around 90-91. Don't remember exactly when, but the additional demand was welcome to me.

You should raise this in the bug reports forum.
A thread like this comes along every year or so. Sami did comment as to his reasoning, but I cam't remember what the result was. I think it's down to him not being bale to find any reliable figures for the earlier period. It is a little odd though.
