Maintenance is very man hour intensive and labor is a significant part of it's overall cost.
Suggest:
Make costs of maintenance (A,B,C,D Checks) dynamic according to relative staff salary level of country.
(50% could be fixed, while the other 50% multiplied by staff salary level of country where operating)
Effect:
Increases realism.
Makes operating Soviet/Russian airliners a bit more attractive in countries with lower relative income (includes USSR@80% salary level)
Could lead to an additional game feature where airlines send aircraft for heavy maintenance to players in lower income countries (as in real world)

I'd rather tie maintenance cost to flight cycles/hours and remove the "too old" steps that begin at 24-35yrs.
