Since I have few options for freighters.....is there any point in getting a normal pax aircraft and blocking all seats?
This might get the weight up but the volume is still limited so it seems like a poor solution...
I have some places needing freight service but the only freighter I can buy (used) is an A300 which is too large and too expensive ...and a new fleet type :-(
I want to convert some A318/9/20 but am not permitted yet!
Any suggestions?

As I said I believe yesterday, there's a big hole between the 732F and the 733F (the A320P2F comes even later).
Given the date is 2013, iirc, nope, no real solution for the moment except introducing another fleet type (much probably the 737 Classic).
Because the solution you came up with is just useless. You won't carry much more cargo:
- the space will limit you (belly-only)
- you won't be able to carry heavy cargo, which is the lucrative one.
So if introducing a new fleet type is out of the question, just skip it. Anyway, one route wouldn't change the face of your company.
Agree with all you say.
I did get a L1011 as it was the ONLY freighter. And its a test t o teach me about freight.
Well...although I have only ONE L1011 it is the second most profitable plane I have...making $1M per week!
Happy to buy more and convert them...but there are none!
May have to swap it to 737 as yu say.
thanks!
Uh, didn't thought about it until now. The 757PF might work as well.
Yes!
And the 737-400C with 60 seats and lots of cargo.
So....if I decide to cancel my L1011 lease how do I fo that? I did not see a buttom for it...although I did see the warning that it costs 50% of remaining contract....which I recall from years ago:-)
But how to do it?

Leases have a mandatory minimum dependent on the length of the lease. The option to cancel will appear once you've reached it.
Also, the 737NG freighters come before the A320s. I think late 2016.

Beware, combis don't carry heavy cargo, thus they work only under certain circumstances (thin routes with relatively high cargo but where all HC is taken care of either by dedicated freighters or though other neighbouring cities, for example).
Good point. Thanks for the warning.
The only cargo game I've played is still in the 1980's. Is there really an A320 cargo conversion option later? I believe a freighter conversion program is underway now (in real life), but none have flown yet. Is this actually included in later years of the game? Some numbers would be useful, of so. thanks.

Yes, but you have to be patient. You will need to wait another 38 years. ;)
