Title: UI for Route Opening with CBD and cargo
Post by: JumboShrimp on December 18, 2017, 03:35:01 AM
The image shows all of the changes:

1. Add numerical (text) Current Cargo Demand, Potential Cargo demand
2. Add chart showing Cargo Type Demand Breakdown (similar to Pax Type Demand)
3. Add chart showing what percent is Current of Potential demand.  Also show which other route pairs are taking demand from our Catchment Area.

This is the data I plugged in (how to read the chart)
JFK-ORD   25
JFK-MDW   12
EWR-ORD   22
EWR-MDW   10
LGA-ORD   22
LGA-MDW   9

The one we are examining is JFK-ORD

4. Pax bar chart unchanged
5. Cargo Bar chart: remove "Potential" bar, otherwise unchanged.

Another possible way to show the Potential vs. Actual

Where the first bar (Potential) is the demand between catchment areas of 2 airports, of which the bolded / highlighted bar is the airport pair we are examining (JFK-ORD) and other bars are the other airport pairs that are taking from our potential demand.

Then, the 7 day cargo graph would only have the JFK-ORD Actual (=Current), to keep the 7 day Cargo bar chart simpler.

This could in the future be expanded to cover connecting traffic.

JFK-ORD is not a good example, but for example if airport pairs is JFK-LAX the list of route pairs may be:
JFK-LAX
EXR-LAX
JFK-ORD-LAX
JFK-DEN-LAX
