...without replacement in future?
So I had the idea of starting in Berlin-Tempelhof in GW2. Just for fun. But what happens when it will be closed in the 2000's? There is no replacement. What happens to my flights? Are they being transferred to Berlin-Tegel? What happens to my HQ? Will I be without HQ? Do I have to manually pick another base? What happens if I only have my HQ there without any other base? By the 2000's Berlin-Tegel will be full. Where would I be supposed to go?
I went for Stuttgart in the end, but still...curious...
There is Aurel Vlaicu, also, that closes without any replacement(I had to recreate lines to somewhere else, roughly at the same distance)
But your HQ wasn't there if I understand you correctly. So that's the big question mark here. How is the technical solution? I am sure if my HQ airport gets closed, I must still have a HQ somewhere else afterwards? Is it my choice to simply open a new HQ? Or what will happen?
No, it was not there, but I could very well have began GW2 in Romania instead of Poland, so I'm interested in the answer.
It goes to SXF
Are you sure? Why SXF and not TXL? How is it determined?
I wouldn't be surprised if the reason it didn't move routes across from LRBS was because you already had the base at LROP, almost certainly your HQ in Romania. Because of that the system has a fit and doesn't move them and you have to move them manually.
Tempelhof is one of special cases. There you will be moved to Tegel.
Okay, thanks for the answer! That also means it does not make much sense to open a base at Tegel and then another at Tempelhof (although I'd still have ~50 years to go). Because in the end I would have "doubled" my routes at Tegel when all the routes from Tempelhof are transferred to Tegel...hmm...tricky.
Hi all,
my request is a little different, but close enough not to open a new thread.
What happens to airlines based in an airport that will be replaced as main airport (but do not close).
As for example Shanghai, Vnukovo, Seoul, William P. Hobby...
Basically, I know that they will be moved to the new airport with all planes, schedules, etc. But I'd like to know the various options.
I heard for example that you can Ask Sami to stay in the old airport. But no real info about that.
Would you have some more clues?
Thanks.

Hi,
excuse me for insisting a bit, even if the term is not yet reached, but I'd need to think over a little my possibilities ;D
And for this purpose, the longer is obviously the better ;)
Thanks.
Arthur
When the airport downgrades you will also move to the new airport. That is the main/only rule. It can be avoided by contacting admins (well before the transfer is due to happen).
