Title: B757 REPLACEMENT
Post by: tdf42 on May 26, 2017, 08:24:39 AM
I know there really isnt one, but Im looking for opinions....what to do in GM1 after 2005? Keep flying them or go to A321 or 739MAX?

A321 hav a slightly higher "too small penalty" limit than 737s, so if you are playing at extreme ranges, Airbuses are the way to go. Unless you need more capacity, and then you'll have to upgrade to B767s.

If you're flying them domestically, then you'll need to move to A320, 737NG/MAX or MD90 series planes (these will NOT get too small for domestic US flights). If you're looking to add frequency, the CS100/300 can be a good later in the game path as well (though, they may get too small for transcons - not sure).

Depends on what you need. 767's are a good option and can do both domestic flights in the US and international flights to Europe with bigger capacity. One fleet type for various demands.

This was mostly for domestic transcon flights (767 gobbles up to much fuel) so I guess it really only came to whether to pick A321 or B738 or 739.

If there are enough demand then using 763/764 with all standard seating could possibly cancel out the extra cost by extra revenue?

Well, the 764 is kickass in terms of cost per seat, despite its heavy staff costs. But it's cost per seat, not per passenger. Are you sure to fill them all?
