Title: Tech Stops
Post by: Lufthansa on April 12, 2017, 04:19:57 PM
I have a 767-300 that I would like to fly SEA-MEL. But, I cannot due to range. I scheduled two stops enroute to make up for this, but the route does not buy slots, and does not let the plane stop there. These stopovers are not working! Can someone please help?!

Can you provide more details?
- Is it a 767-300 or a 767-300ER
- Have you added the tech stops on both sides?
- Did you use multiple tech stops on each leg?

Cheers

OMG I'm so dumb! It's a 767-300 (not ER), but I forgot to add stops on the return!

Since you are flying a non-ER 767 I would not recommend this route.
You will need at least two tech stops (or take a penalty), because there is not a suitable airfield halfway.
This will take at least 160 minutes (two minimum turn times) and passengers will prefer not to fly this route.

If I were you I would fly only direct routes, even if only trans continental flights

Yes you are right. This player should save his money for a 777 or something. Just saying.
