Does what time you flights take off matter?

Yes

It's perfect between 0600 & 2255, annoying between 2300 & 2355, and between 0500 & 0555, and very bad between 0000 & 0455. It's worse for take off than landing, and worse for short range flights than for long range flights. For a short range flight by night you can easily subtract 40% of the ticket price. At least. Not worth it IMHO.
