So... currently, the game is in Pre-Beta-Test mode, meaning that bugs are being found and new features added. We are at the end of it and soon, Beta-Testing will start. I don't know when, but I can say that progress is being made and it should be coming out shortly. To be even considered for beta-testing, you had to have signed up for the Airway Sim Newsletter before June 15th, or something like that. Then, the process of choosing the 300+ (I think, Sami can correct me) beta-testers is by who has submitted game data (airports, airplanes, airplane pictures, feautures, etc.) and joined the AWS newsletter. After Beta-testing is over, people who submitted data will receive credits. This is when the actual game starts. You can also buy credits and use them to play in the games. By then, there will be alot more features, so we may even have a free game, running along side the paying games, with the free game having just the basic features. :)

As I stated this is a closed Pre-Beta-Test, meaning that only certain people were selected to pre-beta-test. These people may be friends of the admins, people who joined from the very beggining, or people have helped research and submit alot of airports (100+), aircrafts(10+), etc.
As of now, you'll just have to wait until beta-testing is over, however, I highly recomend that you register with the AWS Newsletter, located on the home page. Then, you can see updates on the game :)
I agree why not let some people buy their way into beta testing? Some people did research, others just happen to be buddies of some people they know on the inside, but why not let people buy their way in? Think about it, let say it costs 100 credits to buy your way into beta-testing.... Let people test, and make some cash along the way..... If you ask me, its a win-win situation here.
Nah, I don't think that would be fair.. OK, if someone wants really to pay "that much" then I cannot stop him as it's a free lunch for me, but still I'd think it's a bit too rip-off ;) Beta is beta and it's not the final product..

If you let them pay, you could actually make this game a whole lot better with the possibility of being free someday. ;)
Well, Im one of the longest serving signed up members, i signed up almost 12 months ago! In that time, i have submitted one or two airports. Offered pictures(which were denied sadly) and signed upto the newsletter(which i have never acctually recieved?). So hopefully i will recieve my invite to Beta-testing!

Well the previous has been sent in late June, so better check your spam filter and/or your subscription. You should have gotten a) the confirmation of joining to the newsletter and b) newsletters when they are published every few months or so (same news readable on the website too).
Out of curiosity too, when did you send some data over, as I cannot find any records of some airports being added that you had submitted? I remember some batch of some data to India but they were all in totally wrong format and lacking most, if not all, information that was needed (copied from some other source to some other game..? which naturally cannot be accepted).
i would pay too, if not too expensive.

First off, the data...It was indeed the Indian data, and i sent that over in early december. But i also have sent in data for Japan, but never had a reply...So perhaps, i have the wrong email address to email to or something.
Second, the newsletter...I have a slight suspicion i may have signed upto that using my hotmail email account...Because of spamming sites, i have never acctually used this account for emailing, instead i use the following email account..... josh @ web - wings . co . uk ...Without the spaces of course :) So if you could check your logs to see which email im signed upto with that would help...If it is my hotmail account, then could you possibly change it to the address above....
If you email me your email address to, i will send you those datas, but they may be in the wrong format. But i am sure you will be able to extract any needed data
