Very impressive, game cost known and all. Just one question: did you set this up with Sami or is this more of a wishful thinking type situation?

This game was e-mailed to Customer Service and a response is hopefully received soon! Anyways I e-mailed them a while back and they said as long as a method of payment was given and a list of players was given. A game would be setup! So here I am, setting up a private game! It's fairly small and a bit pricey compared to normal public games, but it is longer and a bit easier, was will as its days are shorter!

Heck yeah!!! The more games I can play the better. AirwaySim is a steal compared to other MMOs.

The person that sets it up is free?  ???

Hi all,

Unfortunately I have no idea that this was already posted here without even consulting us about the timeframe, price and everything. But overall as the game request is ultra long, nearly 5 months of real time even with the already rather short 20 min days, the price made up for it is too low as the game is more than twice as long as the standard ones and we have always quite much work in setting up these private scenarios, plus this also includes other custom work.

So either the game specs or cost would need to be changed, but we're discussing this in private first. But I'm sure we'll arrange something.

Okay I altered some of the specs of the game, the following is in consideration:

Start Date: 1988
End Date: 2008
Company Cash: 5mil
Map: Entire World
Game Day: 20min
Player Limit: 150
Pre-Game Setup: 24hrs

I am trying to keep the game at 15 credits! I also updated the people playing list!

QuoteThe person that sets it up is free?

No I pay! Why do you ask?

I really hope that you don't take this the wrong way... Why should we play your private game for at least 15 credits instead of waiting for the next official game? I would understand if your game was starting right now, but it is going to take you a long time to find 150 players. I assume all have to pay before the game even starts running. I'm not saying you shouldn't be doing this, I might even join myself, but that is the question that immediately comes to mind.

Have you considered an earlier timeline for the game, the current proposition 1988-2008 overlaps with the games that are currently running? Maybe a game ending in the early 1990s?

I want a game that runs into present time! So I leaving as is! And if I can't collect the 150 players, the rest of the spots will be left open! So anyone can join! The 15 credits will be paid upfront (I think)!

Who is going to pay for the open spots then?

Would I like a different time... sure, but as it stands right now.. Im not even playing (I bankrupted myself out of three different worlds before I finally realized what strategy really worked for me) right now.. so if it is to be 1988-2008 or 1950-1970, I could care a less

Oh and alli.. make sure we dont get any loans to use! That will make the game a little more challenging and level the playing field more.

A smaller game with 30  - 50 people is proper. :P

Questions:

QuoteWho is going to pay for the open spots then?

People who want to join the world after the pre-selected players have been chosen!

30-50 people does sound nice but I want a fairly moderate game! 350 is way to big for me (In my eyes) and 150 sounded the right amount for an entire world game. So as it stands, I want it as 150. And about the loans, reprogramming would cost more credits (as in remove them) so for this custom scenario, loans are in!!!!

Note for people who are reading:

PLEASE, Join this Game! I need a lists of people playing as fast as possible!!!

Let's say I want a private game for 100 players. Let's say I get a quote of 20 credits per player from the developers. I assume that it would mean that I would have to pay (or me and 99 other players would have to pay) a total of 2000 credits to the developers in order to make the game happen. I assume that it would not mean that I and 9 of my friends pay 20 credits each for a total of 200 credits and we get a game for ourselves with room for 90 more players. How would that differ from a regular game, except that it is a little more expensive and I get to say when it starts and have all the parameters to my exact specifications? Why would the developers take the financial risk of running a game with room for 90 more people?

I may be wrong in my assumptions, but then I want my own private game since they are a bargain!

Your right! I'm sorry, I overlooked that problem! I guess we can't start a game without 150 players! And so I would have to gather 150 players. Would you be joining the game?

P.S: If it gets difficult to round up 150 people, then I'll consider lowering the number of players!

I am currently still awaiting a reply about the modified game specs. As soon I receive a response! I'll update this post or post a new one telling you what happened and if any other changes need to take effect.

I have received an okay for the following game:

Start Date: 1988
End Date: 2008
Company Cash: 5mil
Map: Entire World
Game Day: 20min
Player Limit: 150
Pre-Game Setup: 24hrs

Game Cost will be 15 Credits! This game will be Semi-Public, in other words, people can reserve a spot. I will take only 50 reservations. The rest of the 100 spots will be open to the public! Please look to the first post for players whom have reserved a spot and how many openings we have for reservations!

The beauty of the private games are that we dont have to wait so long before the next public game to play.. game 4 is still 30 some odd days away.. so this is a good "filler" if you will.. I hope we will continue to see more mixes of public, semi-private and private games so that we players can have some really cool choices to chose from...
