Title: no pax on a high demand route
Post by: blair21088 on February 20, 2009, 11:19:46 PM
Phoenix to Okinawa has a demand of aprox. 600 pax per day. i have a 744 and a 763 assigned to routes there. the runway length at Okinawa limits the number of pax I can carry per flight. both flights consistently have 0 pax. This is costing me a lot of money. Can someone offer some insight into what is going on?

The routes seem to be overpriced.

~$620 is what people deem as their maximum / regular price and you have $710. The interest starts to fall rapidly when the prices go much over what the suggested price is.

I haven't touched the pricing on that route I left it at default. 14.701% would have been a peculiar number for me to have increased prices by. I don't know if you have the capability to look at a history form my airline or something along those lines, but I did not alter the pricing of those routes until now when I reset them to default.

Have you made company-wide adjustments to the pricing perhaps?

Maybe there is too much competition

I reset the pricing to default and it went back to normal. I original posted this in the bug forum because this happened spontaneously.
