Cargo features are in the works and the goal is moving closer slowly. So it's time to set up a bit of testing soon to check the interface is working.
If you're interested in testing the cargo features then please sign up. You will be
required to post feedback of your findings/opinions to the dedicated cargo test forum once the testing commences later.
Instructions- You should know what you are doing.... = don't be a newbie to AirwaySim.
- You will need to apply for the tester group membership first. Go to forum's profile page (https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=account) and click on "Modify Profile" -> "Group membership" (https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=groupmembership). Join the 'Cargo test group' group (click "join" at the right hand side).
- After this wait for further instructions about the opening of the test scenario (will be PMed and posted to the cargo test forum which will become visible for you after joining the group).
The "cargo test game #2" is now open to all members participating in the test.
(Please note that if you were a member of the cargo group previously and do not see the forum / game anymore, then you were removed from the group since you did not submit any feedback from the previous cargo test game; which was a requirement for the participation. You may re-apply if you wish but you should follow the instructions.)

does it mean in the future you can "sell" space in your aircraft for cargo?

It means, in the current cargo test game, that on some lines, there is also cargo demand. If you plane has place for cargo, then transporting cargo can net you an additional income. Like in the real world, some cities are very cargo-friendly(Tokyo), while others are rather dry(Denver).
awesome, thanks for the info
The testing is paused at the moment, pending more updates, and applications are not accepted at this time. But I will check them later when testing resumes.
Tried it last time. I only hope that there will still be a normal/current game type and that cargo isn't forced in all games.
