well mine has well and truely hit out of a fleet of 44 i'm going to have 9 planes in the maintainance hanger between apr and may :o
ouch!... but this year seems a little easier on the purse strings maybe my policy of buying planes is paying off with lower leasing costs and more money in the pot :)
i have worked a timeline out to try and level out this peak but that will take 12 months to put into place.
I dont have a massive fleet, but there is a period when I have upwards of 10 744s in C check. It kills my airlines operations for 2 months.
I'm taking Sami's advice and forcing C-checks on aircraft early so I can space 'em out over a greater length of time. If I were to leave it as scheduled, I'd have 8+ C-checks in one month (50% of my fleet)!
