Title: Am I missing a way to swap aircraft?
Post by: RustyVenture on June 06, 2015, 02:55:15 PM
While doing my weekly route cleanup, I find that I have a 736 with 95% LF and a 737 with 70%.

So, I go to swap the two AC, and I find that I have to do the following:

1. Open schedule for 736, clear all routes and maintenance.
2. Open schedule for 737, move all routes and maintenance over to 736.
3. Go back to 737, add the routes I just cleared from the 736
4. Add maintenance to the 737.

Am I missing an easier way to do this? I'd love to see a feature where I can simply swap the schedules of two comparable AC.

No it takes four clicks to do that. Think its been suggested, check the feature forum. This game has a lot of mouse clicks to do simple tasks.

Looks like you are moving schedules within the same fleet type (736 -> 737).

Yes, there is an easier way to do this.  here is an arrow icon on the schedule to "Move" schedules.  It pops up the list of available aircraft, you selected and you are done.

There is even an option to swap registration of the aircraft (checkmark you can select)

Edit: For the "Move" to happen, you need to have an aircraft with nothing scheduled available.

If that is not the case, you can:
1. clear schedule of the aircraft 1
2. move schedule from 2 -> 1
3. Add routes to 2, and maintenance.

I wish there was another option to do a swap between 2 aircraft with schedules, but that feature is not available.

^

That's the slow method I'm hoping to avoid.

You can write a Feature Request to swap schedules between 2 aircraft when both have existing schedules.  :)
