Title: Good all around 50-80 seater
Post by: Maxair on April 22, 2015, 01:28:43 PM
Im looking for opinions and experiences with different aircraft in the 50-80 seat range early 2000s. Im having a hard time deciding if i want to go prop or jet to replace my 50 seat fokkers.

Q400 has proven to be very popular since it's fast... Though only one variant so lacking the benefits of many models (for different sized routes)

atr by far the best plane. 2 sizes and very cheap to operate!

S2000 & Q400 are quick, and can cover more routes per day, increasing therefore their purchasing value. ATR, A140 are dirt cheap to operate. I've had success with CRJs, also. It has plenty of variants. Ejets are good also, but not often available, and maybe a little too big for such a need.

It also depends on the game world dynamic : you shall have a look of what kind of plane is popular, easy to get on the UM, easy to get when purchased, and that you're not the only one to use(so that you don't have the burden of keeping the production line alive - it was annoying in last GW3 to keep A148s alive).

As always depends on your base size.

The F70 is a fine little bird to fly when fuel is cheap. Couple it with the F100 and you can scoop up all the often forgotten demand.

Then trade them in for the Ejet in the mid 2000's and you'll be golden until the GW ends.

When the Ejet2 is (finally) added then this makes even more sense.
