What influence it?
Is it hard-coded or dependent of route service/usage - ie. is it worth to develop small routes?

Right now it is generally based on the GDP growth for the world and the country that the route impacts. Service and usage do not currently change demand (however, there's a long term goal to allow that to happen - check out the City Based Demand thread in the Feature request forum).
