There is misinformation in the slot timeout page. It always says wait 10 minutes, yet 10 minutes is rarely the case when the page does lock. As you can see in that report, I was locked out for the better part of 7 1/2 hours before I was actually able to view the page. I did not excessively reload during that time, and at one point waited 1 hour 33 minutes between refreshes, or more than 9 times the displayed time.
Now, the system knows exactly how long one has to wait to load the slot page again with no restrictions. This fiasco, and I am sure many others since this feature was added, could be easily avoided if the actual time until the page fully unlocks is displayed instead of the default 10 minutes. In my case, in the 6 hours prior to the page locking, I might have averaged 2-3 reloads per game day (generally midnight and 1200) which is far from excessive in my mind, yet it was apparently bad enough in the eyes of the system to lock me out for hours. If it simply displayed "you reloaded this page xx times in the past xx:xx which exceeds the limit for that time frame. Please wait x:xx for this page to unlock" much headache would be avoided.
I agree with your solution : it does seem a bit daft that following the instructions given to come back in 10 minutes just increases your lock-out time when the system already 'knows' 10 mins is not long enough to wait for the lock-out to end.

Another possible method would be a 'countdown' giving how many calls you can make before lock-out occurs (not unlike the market call system) ; this would make planning those slot-page intense sessions a bit easier as you would be aware beforehand of your limit and when you are about to reach it.

I have to say I am very much in favor of that, at least in LHR.
When is the feature request page going to open again? It's been closed for almost a year, in fact it's a year on the 25th of this month and it says it will be opening soon :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
I have searched all the posts and cannot find one that I can tag my request onto, so I'm going to add it here. Can we have a 'PM all alliance members' for alliance leaders added. I know we can do five at a time but that is such a damn pain in the butt. It would be a great asset I think.

The features forum is closed until further, since handling all the duplicate requests and other very miny requests (not serving the bigger development ideas) took very much of my time to manage. The focus is on getting various things done off my own todo lists..
