Title: Manage Routes -> Flight Number View
Post by: JumboShrimp on December 02, 2013, 01:08:33 PM
Another great addition would be a Flight Number View.

Similar to "Destination View" which groups all the flights going to the same destination, Flight Number view would group flights with the same flight number (such as 7 flights used for 7 day scheduling) on one line.

or even a checkbox in the filter area to choose whether flights are grouped by flight#

I've numbered my flights manually. 1-000 for first from original base, x1-00 for country of destination, xy-11 for City.
When I pick the {sort by flight number} header in [routes] I can easily see all common flights between two points and make sure I adjust all ticket costs. 'Simples'.

That's just not possible if you run a behemoth of an airline.

Yeah, it would be just way too much work to keep re-assigning the flight numbers, to line them up in some meaningful manner.

BTW, I think the collapsed, Flight Number View would serve probably as the best default view.  People who do not do 7 day schedules would see no change, and those who do 7 day schedule would see the flights the way as if they were not...
