I read the post and the manual entry on the concept of Holiday Deputy
Questions:
The "temporary password" is really just a change to the account password, not some separate facility / "sub-account" / secondary password we can create, correct? (i.e. the Deputy will have access to the core account itself).
There is limited real world potential for misuse in this, as far as I can tell, as there is no credit card information stored, and, unless we volunteer to store it, there isn't any other personal information in our profile that is not publicly available in the AWS system other than our email address. Is this correct? Or is there something else I have not considered?
Correct, you must change the pass yourself. And no credit card data is stored here on our servers at all, you cannot opt for it at all due security.
Hasn't has any issus with this as usually the babysitters are from same alliance etc, and already know each others (which is recommended).
