On the individual Route Information page two facts are provided: 1) Number of pax by class; 2) Percentage LF by class.
Which is used for revenue calculation?
It should be the number of pax, as that represents seats sold, but it could be LF which would be a slightly off on a per seat basis (as each seat represents a rounding of LF to a whole seat).
This makes a difference when considering C and F classes where the revenue is relatively high per seat.
I ask because if I am managing prices by class, I want to know which number I should be managing to.
Load factor is not used to calculate anything. It is just a statistical value based on the flight data, and shown as a statistical metric on flight performance.
Each flight has individually stored data on how many seats are sold and on which price for each day.
Thanks, Sami for reply.
