Title: Rio (SBRJ) runway requirements
Post by: Lambert_M on February 05, 2013, 04:01:15 AM
Hi,

At Rio de Janeiros Santos Dumont the runway is only 1320 m. Still, I can without restrictions schedule Boeing 737-400´s on my route there, and that airplane has a runway requirement of 1720 m. Is this a bug or have I misunderstood something?

Peter

The 734 needs that much runway when it is full of pax & fuel.

If you're flying somewhere close, it doesn't need so much fuel onboard, and so needs less runway.
