Maybe in the future it will be good to lease an aircraft for only 1 month for C check
I don't have any spare aircraft and my 767 is going in C check in 1 month and don't have enough money to lease aicraft right now

i agree, i'm sure in the real world an airline who flies 1-3 ac is certainly not going to tie themselves into a 12 month lease while their ac are in for maintainance.
could it be possible for short term leases even if they are more expensive than longer term leases.
The industry standard in these situation is "wet-leases", where the lessor provides not only the aircraft, but also the crew to operate it.
Another option would be to do what most airlines do in real life, namely purchase more capacity than is actually needed to run the schedule. This practice, with spare aircraft, gives an airline the oppertunity to replace aircraft that are grounded for technical reasons, as well as cover for aircraft which are in for long-term maintenance (C & D Checks).
One could do either, or both. Would it be possible to create an airline that actually makes it living off provided spare lift to other airlines on an on-demand basis? Don't know if the game allows for it, but it would be a true reflection of how the real world works.
sounds like a good idea for a business plan, but as i don't own my own a/c i'm not sure if you can lease out your own aircraft on a wet lease system.
