Title: Odd LFs on a 100RI route
Post by: njan1915 on December 11, 2012, 01:48:29 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm flying ATL-Bangkok (about 580 pax Fri demand) with B763ER+A342, both with tech stop. I'm the only one flying the route, and regarding the demand:

(https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fs16.postimage.org%2Fk0v26u6v5%2FBangkok.jpg&hash=13f98f5c05a00dcabd36cbab11b72c3d38306224) (http://postimage.org/image/k0v26u6v5/)

With 95% accuracy, according to the route text.

The problem is, I have only about 50-60% LF in those 342s, despite the fact that they neither depart nor arrive in the 23-06 time period:
22:05 - 07:45, KATL - VTBD ( via UIII )  Y: 53.0%   C: 34.3%   F: 37.5%
10:00 - 18:35, VTBD - KATL ( via UIII )  Y: 62.6%   C: 42.9%   F: 37.5%
313 pax total, 54,2% LF overall

The route is an old one - those 763s have been there for a few years, yet they have on average 10%+ better overall LF on the same day. For example:
18:50 - 04:55, KATL - VTBD ( via UIII )  Y: 75.5%   C: 62.5%   F: 50.0%
07:10 - 16:05, VTBD - KATL ( via UIII )  Y: 56.3%   C: 70.8%   F: 62.5%
228 pax total, 66,4% LF overall

Both examples above are for Thursday, and both groups have similar Y/C/F ratios. If anything, the 763s should be the worse group, due to the 4:55 arrival in VTBD.

Am I doing anything wrong there, or is there something odd going on?

I'm aware of the fact that I have more C/F than needed for this route on both groups, but that doesn't explain the low Ys - they should be over 80% for both even on Thursday.

Thanks a lot for any feedback

I just noticed you have a tech-stop, that may be contributing, but I'm not really sure.  It definitely looks odd to me.
