Okay guys...
As in The Netherlands a Litre (0.25 Gallon) of petrol is €1.79 at the moment (About two times more expansive then in the USA, so stop complaining) and our previous car was a total loss after a massive accident where my girlfriend came out the VW with just a few scratches we are about to order something more economical:
Seat Mii. Limited @Mii edition. And it does 20 kilometres per litre (or 60 miles to the Gallon) with a heavy right feet.

How come? The car can't have been used that much as it is raining all the time in the UK. ;D

You better move to the Riviera then... Dawlish , Teignmouth or Newton Abbot will suit the car well ;D

Nice. Did you get hammered on Road Tax ?
I've bought a manufacturer new Volkswagen Golf VI last January with nearly every interior equipment that's available - from Bi-Xenon lights over automated parking functions to the premium onboard computer.
It exactly fits my parking garage, so that's why not a bigger car and due to that garage I was able to skip the auxiliary heating, as well as the big navigation system that gets stolen extremely often.
I've ordered the small 1.2 turbo gasoline engine with 105HP, making it possible to have 4.5-5.5 litre/100km at 130km/h but still goes fast enough up to 210km/h on the Autobahn. Perfect car with low running costs (important for poor University students) and still safe and fast driving.

Edit: Fixed the pictures.
Had a Nissan Micra 160SR until August this year, but it has been declared total loss by the insurance company after a car crash... Looking for a new car now... ;D
A knackered 14 year old Ford Fiesta, with all the trimmings that come with such a car...
Am I the only one here riding on a scooter?

i'm driving a 2010 Mercedes E 250 Coupe (white). Not the biggest engine, but gets me to 250 on the Autobahn ;D
Well, she's a little bit less fuel-efficient than the car in the original post, and her 6.0L engine alone is about as large as some of the cars mentioned in this thread ;) , but here's my GTO (Holden Monaro for the Aussies, Vauxhall Monaro for the Brits)

I live on an island with basically no roads so I don't own a car anymore.
Prior to moving here I had -
1 x HSV (Holden Special Vehicle) R8 Clubsport - to play :-)
1 x VY S pack Holden Ute - to tow my jet ski
1 x 2009 Mitsubishi van - work :-(
1 x BMW R1150RS motorbike - more play
1 x Harley Davidson 1200cc - because I thought I needed one...I didn't
1x Yamaha GS1300cc Waverider jetski - even more play
Registration and Insurance for this lot kept me poor
And now I get around in one of these as I keep holidaying in Philippines :-)
I'm currently driving a 2yr old BMW 320D Efficiency Dynamics but will be getting a new car in a few weeks time. (i've already done 55,000 miles in 2yrs)
This time I've ordered a Nissan QashQai Tecna 1.6litre Diesel.
The BMW is great (it does 750miles with one tank when driving 80-85mph or 1200 kms when driving 130-140kp/h)
but as I've got a 6month old boy it has become a bit useless.. The boot space is too small so that's why I've gone for a larger car.
Volvo V60 ..
(Just about to be 1 yr old. Nice machine with the big D5 engine)

The C30 is on the way out now and the shrunked new v40 is coming into the smaller segment. Its looking pretty good!
Nooooo! When is that planned for? The C30 is a sexy beast. And yes brique, I actually drive a Bristol 405, in British Racing Green! ;D (if only)

BRG : but of course! My dreams involve an Aston Martin Vanquish, several attractive companions and a credit card with no limit on it. But I'm not greedy, I'll settle for just the car...
Although above mentioned Fiesta is in a dark green so I claim its BRG! :)
My dream vehicle since I was old enough to pronounce the name:
Here's mine - does the job for commuting and getting around.

I am very surprised that the baby does not fit in the boot....either a very big baby or a very small boot :-)
