Share prices in grummen have just doubled :P
But seriously has this water receded yet?, because if it hasn't this is major major work
I live in Cleveland. United parked a lot of planes here. There is even a 764 here. We got thru last night with 80 mph gusts.
The conga line of DL planes looks like a normal day at ATL....

Actually the first thought that went into my mind was air raid by Delta. lol.
Tis alot of water, now I know why LGA was to remain closed while JFK and EWR were going to reopen. Crazy, crazy.
Talentz
All 3 airports in NYC reopened. Including LGA though it was the last one to reopen
My flight from Washing Dulles to MAN was cancelled, so I had to argue with the check in at Miami to get a flight east bound and then re route to MAN, they finally let go with Lufthansa on an A380, so not too upset after all ;)....however my house in Fort Lauderdale was very close to being flooded :(
steal me an information card please! Sorry... 'borrow' one for me.
I need one for my collection.
Oh if I had known I would of done but my flight was last sunday I flew the same day as my cancellation.

I never lost power and I probably live within 15 minutes from him.

I have a Sprint 3G/4G netbook. Of course, I had no way to charge it until I found a generator on Wednesday, and even then the damaged/powerless cell towers made service, at least near me, shaky. But yesterday I went back to work, meaning a good internet connection and reliable power.
As of when I left my house I still did not have power, making it 107 hours, but the line workers were in my back yard so I am hopeful that I will have the juice turned back on by the time I get home tonight!
Don
We moved a lot of delta connection, for Pinnacle at least, to CVG and MEM.

Power restored today in Lower Manhattan, where I have my office, after 5 days. Not a lot of damage in Manhattan (compared to other places hit by Sandy). Majority of damage was from storm surge (not from the winds or rain), including power distribution center that exploded due to storm surge. This explosion was the cause of power outage that lasted 5 days.

Glad to see you back online and with power! Just got power back here today, too. We went 114 hours before it was finally turned back on at 5:30pm today.

Spirit restored service to Atlantic City, NJ as soon as the wind died down. My parents flew up to help my sisters and their kids on Friday. Helps that the airport is pretty far away from the city itself although I am told the waterfront casinos are all fully operational.

Rain? Boo-hoo! Half of the state I grew up in is on the bottom of the Atlantic.
