Hi Guys,
For an operational lease (brand new aircraft), what is the optimum time period for releasing the aircraft before its first D CHECK?
Briefly to say, how many years after is the 1st D check of a new aircraft?

I usually go with this "formula"
Time until next D check+8 years UNLESS the plane will be over 22 years old by the end of the lease.

Depends on the plane... no need to do this if you can replace the plane before its next D Check
