Title: Withdraw outstanding invitation (Alliance)
Post by: deepblue501 on January 21, 2009, 03:19:26 AM
hi there,

would it be possible to withdraw an outstanding invitation as an alliance to an airline after they haven't reacted for say 3-4 realtime days? At the moment the invitation only expires after 1 full game year. This is very long. Some people might have stopped playing, or only get online very infrequently while taking up the alliance slots.

nope there is no way to withdraw an outstanding invitation. Either 1 game year has to pass and the airline has not reacted, or the person accepts/rejects the invitation. Thus, if an airline is not active anymore, the slot of the alliance is taken up for a whole game year. I think the founding members of an alliance should have the possibility to withdraw an invitaiton.

Is this something that is still being considered? Seems like something that'd be quite simple :)

1 game year = 7-9 RL days, depending on game speed. Could just make alliance invites last for 6 months ingame, rather than 12, then they automatically expire after roughly 4 RL days.

This would be an improvement, although it would still be nice to be able to withdraw  them, rather than just allow them to expire.
