Title: how earlier can we reedit route w.o being charged for slot?
Post by: Mr.HP on August 10, 2012, 01:35:24 AM
Hi,

When I edit my route and make it depart earlier than the original time, say 15 mins, the slot cost is 0. What if sometime later, I push it 15 mins earlier, would it still be free of charge, or the system knows that the new route is 30 mins earlier than the original, and then issue a slot charge?

I ask this because I'm using turboprop A/C atm, and will be changing to jets in the future. the difference of time travel screw up the schedule. So in this situation, what are you going to do?

Thanks

One thing to keep in mind, is that (mostly) Jets also need a longer Turn-Around-Time, thus you may not need to move the departure times, because you need the time you save inflight, whilst the plane is on ground.
