Title: Is the Concorde any good?
Post by: Athriaxo on January 20, 2009, 08:37:12 AM
Are the advantages of a concorde flight modeled in the game? Since its very expensive to operate and/or lease id like to know if passangers in this game are willing to pay a higher price just to get to theyr destination faster?

I never did it, but you can make a simulation..without creating a route..with the concorde ;)

You "Open a route" click Concorde in the list..and check the prices..

It takes into account the flight duration in the flight 'scoring' / comparison process.

I had Concorde in one of the betas.
At that time, it was easy to get good loads with nice prices. But on the other hand it consumes so much fuel you could just barely pay the expenses and lease - without making any profit to cover C&D checks.
This was before C and F classes were introduced. Perhaps with a high first-class seat number it could be possible to get it even profitable. But I still don't think it will be any goldmine. Good fun though, if you can afford it...

I had the Tu-144 once. I didn't make profit with it.
