Sami, is high density seating penalty over 2 hrs coded
From all the stuff I read I thought it was not?
If so are you allowed to tell us the %effect on load factor because I can't seem to figure any variance due to the
Competition and messed up line I have.
Can anyone prove this is operating in the code Has anyone determined a % variance between high density and normal on a non a line of their own with same plane same time for a week or so with no competition?

Yes it is.
Though you may not be able to see it that clearly thru all the other variables and daily random fluctuations etc.
(the 2 hr HD is not a "steep cutoff" type thing)

What's your typical sector length?
And one trick would be not to max out the plane to capacity but leave a row spare or so to make the pax comfort from poor to fair.
727 works fine with HD... Generally speaking.

I have used Comets, A32X, 737, and 727 in HD to the edge of their range with little negative effect on LF. In fact, in JA now I have Comet 3's in a 3C/72Y config on my PEK-India and Pakistan routes (up to 2200 NM) and my loads are in the high 80% range.
