When does the next game start?
About the same time the next one ends. They are set up that when one type ends (Modern Times, Jet Age etc) another one starts to take its place. Notice is given around 1-2 weeks before the start date.
Usually there is around 14 days left in the previous world as the new one starts.
Next one to start will be Modern Times.
they're not spaced out enough... It will have been ~2 months from the last game start to the next one.... This must be a turn off to new players.
I'd say on the contrary - the first months/years (growth phase) are usually the more exciting ones (at least for me). So by joining the next MT new players can experience that "best time" for a second time in short order.

you're forgetting the hundreds of people not currently in a game. You can't have a game month 1, 2, 3, and 4, and none again until 7, 8, 9, and 10.
That is not exact, but is pretty close

I completely agree. I don't enjoy stating a game that is well under progress so it limits options. Some game worlds fill up very quick as well so even if you don't mind waiting, you could still be out of luck for quite some time :(
