Title: How is it possible?
Post by: masoniclight on January 17, 2009, 06:36:47 PM
That I see airlines with leased Airbuses and 737s etc.. when those leases are in excess of $300000 a month.. how is it possible these airlines are surviving? With $4 million to start, even leasing one of these planes would dry up your reserves in about 10 months just on the lease amount alone NOT counting wages, marketing campaigns, A&B checks, etc... so how is it possible that a company can survive with these planes in the beginning? I have yet to turn a profit in any of the 5 companies Ive attempted despite using multiple strategies... what gives?  >:(

if your routes earn more than a 1 mio. you can easily afford to have those ac and make profit.

I started with one aircraft with a lease of $150,000/month.

I made enough profit from that one to start leasing new aircraft at $450,000/month with no problems.

It did take 3 bankruptcies for me to figure out what I was doing, though.

so far i leased 2 such aircraft and fly 4 routes and early on its basically waiting for the planes to make profit, the operating and leasing cost just eats into whats left but then the LF picks up and starts making profit.

Well, I have it pretty easy ;D   I am based out of LaGuardia with no competition.  I started with a MD-82 and worked from there.  First, I got the A+B checks in then worked my schedule to the max it can go with reasonable turnarounds.  Plus, I had experience because I was a beta tester.  Don't Worry, you'll get the hang of it after you figure all the stuff out.
