Truly sad news for the entire aviation and non-aviation community. Captain Denny Fitch died on May 7 of brain cancer.
He was the DC10 instructor who happened to be on board UA232's D10 when an in-flight triple hydraulic failure threatened the lives of 295 people. His contribution enabled to perform a miraculous crash landing in Sioux City and save the lives of 184 persons.
