What is the best way to schedule A and B maintenance? Split them or perform on the same day?
I have 7 aircraft. Is it good way to schedule B check as 1 per day: from Mo to Su? Or is there the optimal scheduling?
One thing I know about timing is to schedule that way: to overlap as less routes as possible. (during B check)
Does not really matter staff-wise (it is not that smart yet)...
So for now, whatever fits your scheduling.
AWS still not that smart? - 2012-2017 - Does it have any effect in maintenance staff if I allocate every B check on Saturday or should I divide it evenly on every day?
He said it really doesn't matter how you schedule A and B checks, because it doesn't have any effect on maintenance staff - you can set up the checks for all your aircraft at the same day & time and they'll do it fine.
But if you want to schedule the checks wisely, choose B checks for those days with the least demand. Saturdays and Sundays are best, Wednesdays often have less demand, too.
I usually do a rolling check schedule.
