Title: Bank Nasty Gram
Post by: Emaw Jones on March 11, 2012, 12:24:50 AM
Hi,
Just got a nasty gram from the bank trying to collect on my loan.  Not interested in throwing my hands up in the air in frustration yet.  Sooooo.....

What are potential solutions?

Is there a way I can manually direct payment to the bank directly from flight revenue?  I'm showing profit on all my routes, and ridership is slowly climbing.  But not sure how quickly my deficit will clear.  Could be a month or two.

How many notices will I get before the bank locks my front doors?

Thanks for reading :)

You get up to 7 real-life days of money-losing weeks with a negative cash balance before you get shutdown.  So you can go quite a while.  But turnarounds aren't the norm.  If you're losing cash, you generally keep losing cash, barring something like a big fuel decrease or perhaps very early in the game waiting for RI/CI to grow to improve your LF on a series of newly-opened routes.

Thanks for the response.

It was only getting worse - bankrupted and tried again.  Lessons learned  ;D

I have been able in the past to turn a loosing streak into a winning streak, but it is so rare that bankrupting / starting again is the best way to go.
