Title: Question about technical stop
Post by: petee on February 08, 2012, 05:09:08 AM
The question is can you pick passengers up on a technical stop. If not, what is the advantage?

Can't pick up passsengers.

Tech stops are needed for planes that don't have the range for the route you want to fly, or if there's a short runway where a fully loaded plane can't get in and out.

For example, you have a plane with a 4000nm range that you want to fly on a 6000nm route. Simply have it stop for gas each way somewhere between 2000nm and 4000nn each way and you're good to go.

I'm trying to create an ABCA route but I'm not able. I only have the option of creating a technical stop. Am I doing something wrong?

In v1.2, picking up passengers during a tech stop/ABCA/ABCBA routes were traded for the ability to have bases, so it is not possible to do what you're doing in the current state.  There are future enhancements coming that might  bring back this capability once route authorities are better modeled.  There should be a good bit of extra info on what is happening  if you look at 1. Beta test thread in general forum  2. Search feature request forum.
