My company image started going down right after I leased a new aircraft. This aircraft isn't very much older than my first one, just some 2 years. So what else could cause it and/or could that still cause it, and what should i do, start advertising?
You need to do general advertising to increase CI. If you don't, it will gradually fall into the negatives.
Flying older planes doesn't really impact CI. Missing maint will though...
Yeah, but the new aircraft is in pretty much as good condition as the previous. About equal number of flight time/landings, a bit of difference in age and condition etc. so i cannot really figure out what caused the plummet. If flying only 1 old aircraft (and nothing else) impacts CI less than flying 2 old aircraft, then it should be changed.
Whats the condition of the aircraft? Technical failures may effect your CI if you have a bad on time performance.
I suggest it's worth taking at least a minimal general marketing campaign.
I usually only contract a one or two month general campaign. If I let the campaign end (like over a real world night), I notice my company image goes down. Shortly after starting a new campaign, my image goes up a point or two.
Yes you want to have a permanent campaign, the effects of the marketing wear off the second the campaign ends. If you want marketing to have a permanent effect on your CI then you should have a permanent campaign to keep the CI up at the level achieved. I suggest spending no more than 5% of your revenue on marketing.
I have a permament campaign (spending 109 000, 10 % of my income) but my company image is still going down. All my a/c have a condition of ~92 %
What is your on time record? Flight cancellations? This affects the CI very badly if it is too high.
Punctuality 96 %, delays average 1 min. No flight cancellations lately
Staff on strike?
Nope. Lower morale with middle level management but no, no strikes. Also some delays due to lack of staff.
