Before game two started when I ordered my air planes it said that because it was the first day that they would be delivered quicker to allow the game to start faster. Today I went and checked and it says they won't be delivered until September. I'm curious is this faster than normal or did I miss-read the notice on the game?

It goes that way, that when you order your first plane from Used market, it will be delivered immediately.
When you get your next plane, it will be delivered in two weeks. Third and so on, has also always 2 weeks delivery time.
But. When you get New plane, it has to be build, and delivery time depends of existing orders and how many planes production line can produce. This affects also when you start game and order your first plane.
So, only first plane, if got from used plane market, is delivered immediately.
And it is good practise to always start with used planes.

to avoid confusion, maybe a line should be added there stating that it is only valid for used aircraft.
Also, it's always best to start with used aircraft, as they are much cheaper.
